Single Topic Workshops

A single topic workshop is a series of classes that focus on one particular topic and/or set of skills.

Our Single Topic Workshops range in content from Web Design to Video Game Programming to Robotics and Photography. We offer different single topic workshops each month so that participants can experience a wide range of activities, obtaining different skills.

Computing with Raspberry Pi Level 1
WHAT: This workshop will introduce two powerful tools which will allow you to create countless amazing computer projects, from embedded video game systems to robots. We will use Raspberry Pi computers as hardware, and Python as the major programming language. Both of these tools are versatile and will allow you to invent and create many things with them.

WHO: Ages 10-14.

Computing with Raspberry Pi Level 2
WHAT: Young Makers will continue learning advanced coding skills using the Raspberry Pi Computers and component sets. The focus of Level 2 is on coding for the Raspberry Pi high definition camera included as part of the course. We will learn how to control the camera using the Python programming language, and build a variety of projects including a motion sensing security camera, a photobooth, and an internet-connected weather station.
