Our Single Topic Workshops are intended to take kids deeper into a STEM topic than would be expected in our Engineer’s Clubs or In-School Workshops.
- All of our Single Topic Workshops s are 4 -week sessions, meeting once weekly for 1.5 hours each week.
- The cost for each workshop is only $140.
- Discounts are available through January, also Sibling discounts apply.

Grades 2 to 5
Video Game Programming Level 1 – Students will learn to program using a wide range of coding platforms including one of the most popular video game software packages available – developed by the engineers at MIT – Scratch. Students will create their own Scratch account that they can continue to use even when the workshop is over.
Mondays – 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. – February 3, 10, 17, 24
Intro to Robotics – Students will be working with our Lego WeDo & Dash and Dot robotics kits to learn about basic robotics to include mechanical engineering, programming and teamwork. This month is a great introduction to Robotics that might lead your engineer into more advanced Robotics studies & work at school or on one of our fall robotics teams.
Mondays – 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. – March 2, 9, 16, 30
Intro to Physical Computing – Students will working in the Scratch software package and then take things to the physical world by creating their own controllers using the Microbit computing devices. At the conclusion of the month your student will take home their own Microbit. The price of this month’s dues reflect the cost of the kit. Skills practiced this month include programming and electronics.

Grades 5 to 8
3D Design and Printing w/ 3D Printers & Laser Cutters – Students will work in CAD software platforms to create their own projects to be 3D printed on our Ender Printers and/or laser cut on our Glowforge Printer. Students will take home their creations.
Saturdays – 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. – February 1, 8, 15, 22
Digital Media – Students will work with our DSLR and/or Point and Shoot Digital cameras, learn to edit photos and create stunning graphics and collages. Students will take home their work as well as create a digital portfolio that they can access and grow once the workshop is complete.

Stop Motion Animation – Students will work with our Stop Motion kits to create fun, compelling stories using stop motion software and techniques. The students will be able to upload their
